About Smart-Edit and Jamie Cox.

Jamie Cox, founder of Smart-Edit, holds a Diploma of Professional Writing (Editing & Proofreading) from the Australian College of Journalism, and has many years of experience working with the English language in various roles.

He has taught English in Shenyang, China and has been employed as English teacher in Sao Paulo, Brazil between 1991-1995. Jamie has done translations and text/company report revision for some of the following:

Banco Schaurin Cury, Citibank, Alpargatas, Unibanco, Banco Frances e Brasileiro, Mercedes Benz, Glasurit, Scania, Bristol Squibb Myer.

Jamie has also done various translations of a more esoteric nature, e.g. "The Plight of Negro Women in 17th Century Brazil", and translated for the Brazilian government.

Closer to home, I have done correction of texts for various small businesses in Tasmania (Referee: Stephen Maney, Wicked Jewelry. Phone 0417 199836), and have done copy editing for the Deloraine Writers Group.
